Previously I was representing Dyingbreedsk8s. I came up with that idea because there weren’t any rollerskaters at the skateparks. Just me and Desi Jones for a long time. Now, thanks to Rollerderby at first, then Chicks In Bowls, and Moxi Rollerskates there are skaters all over the world getting into bowls and redefining the sport that I love and have given so much of myself to.

So with my beloved sport no longer dying, I needed to change the name from Dyingbreedsk8s to Dukesk8s.  I put my name in it because it's truly become a lifestyle and a passion of mine since I was 13 years old. I’ve always been associated with skating, especially the old school style of pool riding. That is Sideskating or Surfskating, same as the great Kenny Means and Fred Blood. That’s what I’m about.

For some other great examples of Sideskating look up and check out Brian Wainright! He’s like the rollerskating version of Tony Hawk. He is a super talented fearless flyer. Check out OG East Coast skater Irene Ching. Look up some footage of James Ide, he was a powerhouse of a skater who may just show up anytime and blow minds.
